The answers were quite similar in content which further indicated that these home remedies are known, accepted and work.
Home Remedies for Ticks on dogs Removal by Elspet Chen
Suggestion 1:
Adding 1 capful of Apple Cider Vinegar in drinking water daily.
Suggestion 2:
Add a few drops of Eucalyptus Oil on the collar of the dog. Ensure it is a fabric collar. Add these drops weekly.
Suggestion 3:
Pressure cook 4-5 lemons and 4-5 handfuls of neem leaves. Squeeze the lemons and strain the liquid. Add a dash of peppermint oil or Nilgiri/Eucalyptus oil. Add 1 cupful of white vinegar to the mixture. Use this mix and apply on the dog as well as add it to the detergent water being used to swab the floors.
Frequency of Application: Twice a week
Bhavna Mirchandani’s home remedy for removing ticks on dogs
Suggestion :
Warm 200 ml. of Neem Oil and add 10 crushed camphor pods/tablets to it. Mix well. Add 8-10 drops of Eucalyptus oil to it. Finally add 2 cap fulls of Apple Cider Vinegar to the mixture. Dilute the mixture with 400 ml. of water. Shake well and then apply on the body and rub well.
Frequency of Application : Twice a week.

Mix Eucalyptus Oil and Coconut Oil (1:1) in equal amounts. Crush a sachet of camphor and add this to the mixture and then apply the mixture in the reverse direction.
Frequency of Application : Once a day or “as and when required”.

Suggestion #1:
Camphor and Neem Oil to apply over the body and the paws especially. Apply once a day or spray in the paws daily.
Suggestion #2:
Apply diluted Apple Cider Vinegar on the body of the dog. Apply once a day.

1. Always ensure the diluting with water of the white vinegar, eucalyptus, apple cider and peppermint oils whenever used.
2. Inhaling Camphor excessively and in large amounts can be toxic for dogs.
